ALL-Natural Dome Workshop in Arnaudville, Louisiana
Exact dates to be determined - check back for updates
This workshop will teach about building a round dome structure, made out of Magnesium and celluloses fibers like Hemp and Bagasse. Bagasse is a dry pulpy fibrous material that remains after crushing sugarcane or sorghum stalks to extract their juice. It is used as a biofuel for the production of heat, energy, and electricity, and in the manufacture of pulp and building materials. This hands on learning experience will teach about the fundamentals of building with alternative, natural materials that can be found locally, as well as the harmful effects of traditionally used, toxic construction materials. Learning how to chose more healthy building materials will greatly benefit the health of the builders, those living in these structures, and our Earth.
Opportunities to participate in this workshop are available. If you are interested, please contact us or check back for updates.
